Mission Statement
As a civilian, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the mission of the Navy League of the United States is to support the men and women of the U.S. sea services—Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marine—through education, advocacy, and direct community engagement.
Our goal is to strengthen the connection between the military and the Santa Barbara community by honoring service, promoting maritime awareness, and fostering civic involvement.
These partnerships enable us to foster meaningful connections with active-duty personnel through ship visits, care packages, holiday support, awards programs, and morale events. We stand beside these servicemembers not only during deployments and special events, but also year-round as trusted community partners.
Supporting the Sea Services—and Beyond
The Santa Barbara Council of the Navy League of the United States is proud to have formally adopted nine active-duty military units spanning all six branches of the United States Armed Forces. Our commitment to these commands reflects our mission: to support the men and women who wear the uniform, whether they serve at sea, on land, or in the air. Additionally, we invest in the future by supporting youth programs such as the U.S. Naval Sea Cadets, Junior ROTC, and STEM-focused initiatives.
