USS RONALD REAGAN (CVN-76)

The Santa Barbara Navy League officially adopted the USS RONALD REAGAN in June 2000.  We launched a major fundraising campaign to provide ship enhancements designed to improve the quality of sailors' lives while deployed and to support the crew and their families for the life of the ship.

131105-N-ZZ999-003 The guided-missile destroyer USS Stockdale (DDG 106) flies a 240-foot long homeward bound pennant from its mast as it steams through the Pacific Ocean on Nov. 5, 2013. The Stockdale is returning to its homeport of San Diego, Calif., after completing an extended deployment to the U.S. 5th, 6th, and 7th Fleet areas of responsibility. Ships that have served on a continuous overseas duty for nine months and are returning to a U.S. homeport fly the homeward bound pennant. USS STOCKDALE (DDG-106)

USS STOCKDALE was commissioned on April 18, 2009, under the Command of Commander Fred Kacher.

USS CALIFORNIA (SSN-781)

The submarine was commissioned at Naval Station Norfolk on 29 October 2011.  SBNL adopted USS CALIFORNIA in April 2011.  SBNL continues to support our state's namesake, the crew and their families even while she deploys from the East Coast.

USCGC BLACKFIN (WPB-87317)

Our neighborhood hero, USCGC BLACKFIN is a welcome sight homeported here in Santa Barbara Harbor.  The Marine Protector class patrol boat and her crew conduct multi-mission operations, including search and rescue, law enforcement, and homeland security.

USS SANTA BARBARA (LCS-32)

The newest addition to our Council's adopted units, our city's third namesake ship, SBNL was proud to play such an integral role in the commissioning of USS SANTA BARBARA on April 01, 2023.  She has since been forward deployed to 5th fleet.

(March 31, 2023) The Independence-variant variant littoral combat ship USS Santa Barbara (LCS 32) is in port at Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC) for its commissioning ceremony, March 31, 2023. NBVC is a strategically located naval installation composed of three operating facilities: Point Mugu, Port Hueneme and San Nicolas Island. NBVC is the home of the Pacific Seabees, West Coast E-2D Hawkeyes, three warfare centers and 80 tenant commands. (U.S. Navy photo by Ensign Drew Verbis)
